I do apologize for not having updated since Miss Ellis started teaching. Everything has gone very smoothly during her time with us, which is quickly coming to an end. Her last day of teaching is December 4, and her last day in our classroom is December 10. We will miss her very much! She is going to go on to have a wonderful and successful teaching career.
With only two and a half weeks left before break, we are very busy. The students are preparing for their holiday musical on December 10. We will be doing an in-school performance and an after school show. Our first practice yesterday went well. Everyone participated and showed her or his personal best. Also, next week is Santa's Secret Shop. Our class will be visiting on December 8. If you are interested in volunteering, please remember to send in the slip. The Holiday Celebration is December 17. We do have school on December 18, and we will be wrapping up the activities on which we'll have been hard at work.
We will be very busy academically, too. Next week in geometry we will be focusing on symmetry and congruency. We'll be improving our reading using synonyms, antonyms, homographs, and idioms. After working on that, we will be doing holiday Readers Theaters, which we'll perform on Dec. 18. The next several weeks are going to be filled with lots of fun learning opportunities.

I am now reading a very good book series. It's called the Shadow Children Series. It takes place in a society that it's aganst the law to have more than two children. Luke is a third child. So he has to hide from the Popuation Police. He can't even go outside. In the third book, they don't show Luke but the other main charaters and Luke will meet together at the end of the series.us The First book is Among The Hidden.us Please look up these books

Thanks, Nathan! I bought the first one for the class library, and I'm going to work on the other ones. I'll check out Cirque du Freak, too. The movie looked interesting, and books are usually even better.
